    Yes, I think an evaluation of current pipe sizing methods is a good idea. Although I think the Hunter’s method is very good, I do believe some systems are sized very conservatively with this method.

    Re: December question of the Month: I think ASPE should merge with another non-ASPE publication and continue to offer good quality articles pertinent to the plumbing industry, and continue to offer the continuing education tests.

    I believe you are right. The curve is so old it really no longer applies. It doesn’t take into account low demand fixtures.

    If the installer knows of ways to install the plumbing systems in a more efficient and less costly manner and still meet the intent of the design documents, then the installer should be allowed to make modifications to the design, with approval of the engineer.

    Our firm is becoming increasingly involved in green building design. I’d like our chapter to host a program on water conservation technology for plumbing fixtures. We need those precious LEED points!
